The centrepiece of the electricity subsidy scheme is a total of $715 million in living cost support, with every Western Australian household receiving at least $400 in electricity subsidies."We want everyone, especially with Christmas around the corner, to benefit from the electricity subsidy," said Premier Roger Cook. He also announced that the application deadline will be extended to March 31 next year. This move will give eligible households more time to apply and obtain credit, which is good news for those who have not had the opportunity.
