Already applied will be refunded and you can become a citizen through the new policy in 2023.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"\u65f6\u95f4\u70b9-4-\uff1a-2022-\u5e74-7-\u6708-1-\u65e5\uff1a\u76f4\u63a5\u5165\u7c4d\"><strong>Time point 4: July 1, 2022: Direct naturalization<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"\u5bf9\u4e8e\u666e\u901a-scv-\u7b7e\u8bc1\u6301\u6709\u8005\uff1a\"><strong>For regular SCV visa holders:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Effective July 1, 2023.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The time you have lived in Australia from July 1, 2022 will be counted as PR&#039;s effective residence time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No PR treatment will be enjoyed during the holding period.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If other conditions are met, you can obtain naturalization directly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"\u5bf9\u4e8e\u53d7\u4fdd\u62a4\u7684-scv-\u7b7e\u8bc1\u6301\u6709\u8005\uff1a\"><strong>For protected SCV visa holders:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Not subject to the above start time restrictions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enjoy PR treatment during the holding period.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>According to the naturalization and residence requirements for ordinary PR, you can become a citizen if you meet the requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These dates and associated policies provide New Zealand citizens with a number of pathways to Australian citizenship.
